Today With Patty – Oct. 13, 2006

Last night I attended the opening of the Triad Women Presidents’ Organization chapter. It was great fun, and I met so many accomplished and successful women business owners. I really enjoyed the ride there and back, just sitting in the car chatting with Diane Kuehn, president and CEO of VisionPoint Marketing, Sheila Ogle, CEO of MRPP, Judy Smith, president of Smith Seal of North Carolina and Linda Daniels, principal of Daniels Daniels & Verdonik, P.A.

This morning I met with a potential new client for a totally cool, huge new project. I’m all for this. I’ll keep you posted on how it goes.

I did a few conference calls today too, otherwise nothing too exciting to report. However, the entire office is jacked on caffeine thanks to our new brewing system from Gray and Creech.

And Ryal’s mom Nancy Curtis sent him an “Accomplishment” memo pad, which he made the mistake of showing to me. I thought it was very smart of her to make sure that he works on goals, so I’m making him fill it out for me every Monday. Ryal is now sorry he showed it to me, because he feels like I’m ganging up on him with his mother. I also learned that Kyle receives a very cool “care package” from his mom every two weeks that apparently is the light of his life.

I’m going to the mountains for the weekend. I’ll be visiting my Auntie Sis, who they’ve slammed into the old folks home. I have to check on her and make sure it’s all OK with her. That’s all, folks!
