I’ve got some good news and I’ve got some bad news. The good news is I’ll be appearing on the CBS Early Show Monday morning on a segment on mothers and daughters traveling. The bad part is that Mother won’t be with me, because they didn’t have the travel budget to bring her in for the show. I can’t wait to tell Mother this – that should go over big with her. (Actually, I just called her, and she handled the news fine.) I don’t know what time yet the segment is set to air. I’ll keep you posted. As for what I’m wearing … you’ll have to watch to find out.
A “no carb” update: I had a wonderful asiago cheese bagel this morning at Panera Bread, but for lunch, I did better by eating the chicken fingers and green beans at Jack Astor’s Bar and Grill. The green beans were really good. Kipp and I just noticed that Pei Wei Asian Diner is coming to Cary Towne Center. Neither of us know how to pronounce it – is it “pee wee” or something else? We’re really excited, because it’s another new thing we love, and we plan on doing it together, like we were supposed to do last week with the KFC mashed potato bowls.
Tonight I’m headed to the Raleigh Chamber of Commerce annual meeting I’m looking forward to white wine and chicken – and no carbs. After all, I’m going to be on TV on Monday.
