Today With Patty 8/11/06

I went to see Dr. Baylis today. My femur held, which I am happy about, but I still felt bad. I had to turn my phone off and lay down in the relaxation lounge for about an hour. I am suffering in silence with all of this.

We had a very long conference call with Jack Astor’s today. Kate, who is out of town at a wedding, had to call in for the two-hour discussion. Apparently, she went way over her minutes and missed a bridesmaid luncheon – ain’t it great to work at MMI?

We had some very sad news today; Candy is leaving us. Normally, I would bribe, harass and sweet-talk her into staying, but I know she will be much healthier. She is going to go concentrate on getting her back better. However, I will not let her leave without finding and training a replacement first! We are trying to get her to stay on – even temporarily because life won’t be the same without her. I support her decision – I just don’t like it. I am trying to be good about this.

Bill Kamp came over and brought us some Party Putts, and the boys are having a blast. He also brought Plum Pure lip balm, which is available at Harris Teeter. It’s fun to be in our business because people bring us cool, fun stuff all the time.
