For the first time in a long time, I have been at the office for the entire day and I have enjoyed every minute of it. I have had time to notice that there has been an awful lot of crapping around going on today. I’m not sure if it is the gloomy weather prompting all this.
Allison Pays Us A Visit
Allison stopped by today and we got to catch up on her photography business and how successful she has become. We are all so proud of her. She just photographed engagement pictures for Allison Bohn, a former MMI employee, so you can see how incestuous our whole world is here.
What to Eat?
There was quite the discussion about what we were going to have for lunch today with a lot of back and forth as to whether KFC or Pizza Hut would win out. Since I was buying, we went with pizza. Kate and I were discussing what the third pizza should be, because we always get sausage and pepperoni for the first two. Kate wanted cheese and I wanted anchovies, but Dominos does not offer that, and no one else would have eaten it anyway. When the pizzas arrived, don’t you know that all the people professing their love for cheese started picking up sausage and pepperoni? So of course I kept threatening them that they had to eat at least one piece of the cheese pizza.
Big Bad Ball Arrives
This weekend is Big Bad Ball and Allison and Kate from the office will be attending with my husband John and me. Of course there has been much discussion about what our ensembles will be. Allison has a green gown that she really wants to wear, but apparently someone spilled champagne on it, and she is really hoping that the drycleaners can get it out. Kate came in with five or six different dresses, so we had an office vote and decided on the one with black sequins. Of course the two of them will be over the house tomorrow to go through my jewelry, shoes and shawls to decide what their accessories will be.
Good Luck, Kate
Kate goes tonight to meet with the Women’s Forum Young Adult Leadership Award (YALA) Committee, where she is a finalist. So everyone keep there fingers crossed, because I am hoping that she will win this award. She is certainly a leader in my eyes, and I hope the Women’s Forum people see that too.
