Today With Patty: A Night With All My Friends

The Party Hardy Patty Party was so much fun and just full of all my friends, who got to know one another. I kept having people ask me what the agenda was — I said none. They wanted to know if I was going to say a few words — I said no, especially since I’ve never been known to say just a few words. They wanted to know if they were going to have to write a check for charity or a political campaign. And again, the answer was no.

I realized that it must be hard and expensive to come to one of my events, so I was glad this was just a girl party.

The “Pattytini”

So here was my favorite part: we had the event at 1705Prime in their fabulous Stinger Lounge, and Dean Ogan, who is the president of Rocky Top Hospitality and 1705Prime, created a signature drink just for me called the “Pattytini.” It is pomegranate juice, vodka and pinot grigio.

You are probably wondering why it has pinot grigio in it. That is because anyone who knows me knows that I love pinot grigio and have been searching for the perfect glass … bottle by bottle. Hey, everybody needs a goal.

So, Dean created this drink as a tip of the hat to my, er, passion, or could it be compulsion — whatever. The drink was a complete and total hit. And all and all, it was a really fun evening.

Panera x 3

Tonight I’m headed to the sneak peek at North Raleigh Florist, which is in the old Montgomery’s location, and Janice Cutler, the owner, was a former owner of Montgomery’s Florist.

I have been to Panera Bread three times today for three different meetings at two different locations. Panera is such a great place to meet, and God, how I love bagels.
