Today with Patty: Bah Humbug

This is supposed to be the Christmas season but it is 80 degrees out. What is up with that? I have no Christmas spirit this year, in fact I am really bummed that I am not having a Christmas tree or any decorations. Because John’s back will not allow him to lift the boxes and so forth, we are foregoing any celebration. Oh poor me. I do not know what I am going to do about this. Right now I feel like the kid with her face pressed against the glass looking inside at everybody else celebrating the holidays. Oh poor me.

What is even worse is that no one in the office has any Christmas spirit and they keep shooting down my ideas for Secret Santa. Oh poor me. The only good thing is that the holiday food has been arriving in full force. Today we had two huge cookie cakes delivered and bagels in the morning. And this afternoon we’re celebrating Kristi’s birthday so we will have cake. It’s nice to know some things never change. MMI = food.
