Today With Patty: My First Time

You always remember your first and today is a day of firsts for me. I had lunch with Ned Jennings from FreemanWhite over at Sushi Thai and Ryal, Matt and Jill went with me. Everybody was all a twitter about getting to have sushi and I have never had it. The idea of raw fish does not really appeal to me, besides I am not big on curry or ginger but hey, Ned talked me into trying something called dynamite sushi which is cooked shrimp and crab with rice and seaweed. I actually liked it and Ryal was so proud of me.
This morning I was on the panel for the Greater Raleigh Chamber of Commerce’s conference on recruiting and retaining talent. I love panels because you do not have to write a speech ahead of time and you can wing it, which is essentially what I did. I am very passionate about my talented staff and I enjoy talking about them and what makes us special.
