Today with Patty: Never Too Busy For Erika

I had another fun-filled, action-packed day today, where I have not had 10 seconds in between meeting, after meeting, after meeting. But you know me, I never complain, I just suffer in silence. This morning I went to the Association for Corporate Growth (or as some people refer to it – - – the “old white men in grey suits” club ) to hear Erika Mangrum discuss the organic growth of her company Iatria. She did a great job. The best part of the whole thing though, was that nearly half the room was made up of women. I have never been to a meeting at ACG with more than four women in attendance.

Auntie Potty

Did I mention my sister and her family are moving to Raleigh? She has a four-year-old daughter name Jaecquelyn whom we call Jack. Jack calls me Auntie Potty which my sister thinks is hilarious and continues to encourage. My other nieces and nephews call me Auntie Pasto. What is wrong with “your highness”?

Home Repair

I spent a good part of my day dealing with our office Condo Association. I have never had a job as difficult as serving on the board of this association. Plus, we talk about things like roofing, concrete repair and something called muntins, which apparently are these stick-like things that you put in a window to make it look like individual panes of glass – - – or that is at least what I think they are before my eyes glazed over and I fell off my chair. I am the treasurer so I am pretty picky about what we are going to spend our money on. I can not tell you how sick I am of the landscaping and roofing drama.
