Today With Patty: Overage Trick-or-Treaters

I had more trick-or-treaters than usual for Halloween this year and ended up giving out two full bags of candy. Of course, I tend to give two or three candy bars to the kids I know.

I did have one group of kids who were clearly too old to be trick or treating, and I suspect they were going bar hopping later that evening.

Wine Over Candy

So today I have done nothing but go to events and eat. This morning it was the Poe Center’s annual meeting with Dr. Sheila Collins from The Hamner speaking on obesity and diabetes.

Gosh, I loved hearing about that. However, I did feel a little smug because I had not eaten one piece of candy last night. Why eat candy when there is wine? Of course, I am munching a cookie right now. …

Who Would Be For MS?

I attended the Women Against MS luncheon (as opposed to the Women For MS) at North Ridge Country Club, and it was a sell-out crowd. About 450 of the Triangle’s best women attended — it was a great event.

Tonight I am off to the Triangle Business Journal’s Fast 50 awards where we have a number of MMI clients who are a winning. It is at the Embassy Suites in Cary, and I am sure a good time will be had by all.
