Today With Patty: Return From Phoenix

I’m back from Phoenix and mighty happy about it. I just don’t see myself in Arizona anymore. It’s too congested – too much freeway, too many people and as my Grandma used to say “too much, too much.”

Busy, Busy, Busy

I’m pretty tired and we literally spent every minute of every waking hour visiting. I ate too much. I drank too much. I even let some horrid carbs pass my lips. So now I have to get back on the bandwagon, especially since my trainer, Jeff Wooten of The Body Mechanic, will be sure to interrogate me.

The worst part was that the weather was cold and rainy and it’s never cold and rainy in February in Phoenix. And I didn’t have so much as a sweater with me. Okay, enough of my bellyaching.

Late Night, Early Morning

The wedding was wonderful and truly one of the best I have attended in years. I actually stayed late and danced and caught up with old friends. I think I’m just a little punchy right now, as I had to get up at 3:30 a.m. to get to the airport and get on my plane at 6 a.m.

I’m way too old for this stuff.
