My body is rotting from the inside. This bacteria that I picked up from my vacation at Galapagos Islands will not go away, and I cannot seem to get rid of it. It is really heinous, and it is starting to scare me because I have had it so long. Anybody have any ideas?
My Public Face
Last night I was supposed to go to the Parker Poe reception, but I decided to blow it off because my face looked so bad. My face still looks bad today, but it is the annual meeting of the Greater Raleigh Chamber of Commerce tonight, so I am going to pile on the makeup and hope no one notices. I do not have high hopes for that, because the first thing anybody says to me when they see me right now is “What happened to your face?” – and I hope they are talking about the blisters.
Time for Lunch
I had lunch today at Michael Dean’s, and it was the first time I ever had their tilapia and it was awesome. I was there to attend a luncheon of women business owners hosted by Jeff Snell of Enlign Business Brokers. We met a wonderful woman who I am adopting and going to do everything I can to help her. I was really impressed with Jeff for putting this together. I have always liked Jeff, and while I already think he is very good at what he does, he definitely went up a few notches in my book.
