Today with Patty: The Call Of The Carbs

by Patty

I am being seduced by carbs! I hear the loralei song of cookies, bagels and bread. But I am happy to report that I have remained strong. My dear, sweet Allison Davis stopped by yesterday with about five pounds of beautiful chocolate chip cookies. I was tempted, but I continued to remain strong. Did I mention I am strong?

Without Wine

Last night I went to the Women President’s Organization meeting and managed to stay away from all the bad food, including the wine. My WPO group is really great these days and I so enjoy my time with these amazing women.

Blessed Bacon

At lunch today I really wanted the fried green tomato and bacon sandwich but instead I had salad. Here is what really sucks, I have lost no weight with all of this remaining strong stuff. What is up with that?

To Top It All Off

I spent my entire morning with the office Condo Association. Of all the positions I’ve ever held, being on the board of our Condo Association for our office complex is the worst. Guess who gets to be in charge of getting the bids and having the concrete removed and replaced throughout our office complex? That would be me. Well, not really, that would be Kate Davis because I plan to shove this off on her. She really has become the queen of the Condo Association.

The Battle Continues…

I am out of here. As I am off to the Triangle Tea Society at the Umstead. Where there will be no wine luckily, but lots and lots of carbs.
