Today With Patty: The MMI Plague Finally Got Me

by Patty

I went to the kickoff for the Go Red campaign yesterday afternoon and I can tell I’m not feeling well because, of course, I was the only loser not wearing red. Jen Fair and Kate Davis in my office went with me and they looked ever so stylish in their black suits and red blouses. No one thought to remind me so I was in black and blue which is now how I feel.

I had several events last night all of which I blew off because I’m getting this horrible, terrible, deathly flu. There has been no sympathy at my office because I’ve been busting everybody about how sickly they’ve been and now I have it. I was asleep at 8:00 last night and decided that I would stay in bed all day. However, I had a client who really needed me so I climbed out of bed, took a shower (it was a must because my hair looked like Cruella Deville-ish) and went to see the client. We solved all the problems, but I did wear blue jeans. I’m such a rebel.

But here’s my big news. We bought a house in Oklahoma. This house is amazing and I’m really excited, but I’m also realizing that the Briguglios will be eating dog food to help pay for it. Seriously, I’m in a little bit of shock because I truly didn’t think we would buy it. But I know it’s the right thing to do. I’ll find some photos and post them tomorrow. Right now, it’s hard to be excited about anything with the way I feel. Martha Petty of Century 21 Waterfront is more excited than I am I think. I’m happy for Martha.
