I’m Baaaaack!
I decided to take the holidays off from blogging for a number of reasons:
1. Life was too hectic.
2. I just didn’t feel like it.
3. I have been wrestling with payroll issues.
Payroll Issues
I needed to switch payroll providers on short notice and decided to go with BB&T Payroll as I was told it would be the easiest and smoothest transition. Boy, were they wrong! I can not even begin to tell you the nightmare that I continue to experience with BB&T Payroll. My payroll was wrong so many times that I lost count. The paychecks and reports were supposed to be FedExed to me so many times and were not that I lost count again. I have called my sales person for three weeks straight, trying to get help and he has never returned my call. I have never witnessed such incompetence in any organization that I have ever done business with. They just do not get it. They will however say they are sorry (once) but frankly I do not believe that they are. Stick a fork in me I am so done with BB&T Payroll.
We are working on a song in the office that I will share with you shortly that outlines our enormous frustration and disappointment with BB&T Payroll.
Moving On
Needles to say I am moving my payroll. I have been tearing my hair out trying to get my workers’ comp and 401k straightened out as well. I used to hate accounting but now I hate Human Resources even more.
Silent Nights
The holidays were quiet and generally relaxing. Mostly because I was too preoccupied in payroll hell to do much of anything else. But the holiday is over and I am back. It is a new year and a new slate. As I look back at 2007 I have much to be thankful for and many blessings. We had a record year and we have a great staff.

Let us talk about blog etiquette. If you wish to comment on a blog, you are more than welcome to do so – just be sure to give the blogger an opportunity to respond. The great thing about blogs are that they offer up a forum for discussion between people.
Without the chance to respond to a comment – whether it be positive or negative – the real power of a blog is lost. So please comment away!
Just remember, if you are too embarrassed to attach your name to a blog post, you probably should not be commenting. If you would not say it to someone’s face, then you probably should not write it in a blog.
