My weekend became very interesting when the water pipe from the upstairs bathroom at the office busted a leak inside the wall downstairs. Luckily, we caught it pretty early. It did manage to ruin the hardwood flooring and the wallpaper in the front hall though.
Oh yeah, there is also a huge hole that had to be cut in the closet wall to get to the pipe.. It is not fixed yet, so for now we are all sharing one bathroom, and we cannot use any of the sinks upstairs.
I am hoping that when the hardwood flooring dries, the massive buckling will subside, and we will not have to replace the flooring. The carpet in the closet downstairs however, is a goner. Oh, the joys of being a business owner and owning your own building.
Reports, Editors and Publishers
My Monday has been very productive in that I have spent the entire day meeting with various reporters, publishers and editors. It has all been very fruitful and rewarding. Of course we have an interview challenge going on this week, and I plan to kick everyone’s arse again.
Surgery
I went to see my surgeon today who is following my sea lion bite. As you may recall, I decided not to do surgery, but instead tough it out for six months. I swear it continues to look and feel the same although my surgeon, Dr. Chuilli, says it is much better.
I did manage to have some surgery today as he removed a subcutaneous cyst from my chest. I swear it is just a blackhead gone bad, but subcutaneous cyst sounds way more important. I have a lovely bandage on my chest, but there will be no scar.
Dr. Chuilli is one of my favorite physicians. He is somewhat quiet and always thoughtful and reasoned. I feel like he treats me as if were a member of his family … albeit the twisted and weird side of the family.
