Patty wasn’t here; then she was here, now she’s not here … although I love Patty, the place is much more peaceful this afternoon.
Patty started the day with an exciting meeting with Kieran Shanahan an attorney in Raleigh (and Account Executive Kate’s dad). Turns out Patty and Kieran probably came from the same mold and think a lot alike in many areas – at least that’s what Kate says and Patty agreed. If anyone can come up with wild projects, it is Patty – so we are holding our breath to see what emerges from that meeting.
At lunchtime Patty went to the Office Condo Association meeting. Elections were today. The meeting lasted longer than usual; probably because Patty declined (several times) to serve as President of the organization. She did get elected Secretary. Patty really did not want to be president; she expects the president to be neutral and a positive leader; Patty wants to have a strong opinion and make things happen.
Now Patty is off to Charleston to see family. On Monday she flies to Chicago for a meeting with key Women Presidents’ Organization (http://www.womenpresidentsorg.com) members. Kate is off to that meeting also; but she is starting her Chicago trip today with a visit to a girlfriend. We hear it is cold in Chicago; our Southern belles are already dreading the weather.
Friday is winding down … and so are we.
