Patty is in the Big Apple today with a client, so as usual; we are trying to write a blog without her.
Ryan Brandt (age 9) spent part of the day in our office. Ryan is Mary’s son and did not have school today, so we were thrilled to have him help us. Here’s his version of working at MMI:
The first thing I saw when I entered MMI was the Mini-me Ms. Kong aka the African tribal woman statue hanging on the wall. Most people would pet the head, but not me. You will have to stop by MMI to figure out what caught my attention. (think Madonna).
I shredded a lot of bank paper that Patty did not need anymore. The shredder is awesome and works really well. I shredded so much, we had to empty it – that was a lot of paper.
Patty put me in charge of the candy – Milky Way bars. If you know MMI, you know how much they live for chocolate. I saw everyone at their desks working hard – so I shared candy with them.
This is my second visit to MMI (we get a lot of days off from school J). Last time, everyone was very friendly to me and they were the same today. I plan to come back again. Of course, I missed Patty – the office is different without her. Maybe she will be here next time I come. Now we are off – I will make sure my Mom works hard the rest of the day as we run errands.
The rest of the blog with Candy …
Welcome to our newest intern, Bernice. She is a student at NCCU and we are glad she is here. With three interns here on Monday, we whipped out a whole pile of releases. Hooray for the interns!
According to Patty, Mary rocks! Mary found Patty a place to get shoes for the 30th anniversary party. More on the upcoming party soon.
Today was workaholic Monday. We rocked all day. I have about 2 inches of releases on my desk to proofread. Whew … back to work.
