You know who has been bogged down in running around to events and meetings today, so while she is unavailable, we will contribute the latest news happening here with us to keep you up to date with our office.
First, a Matt Vaughan update – although he has been able to work half a day today and yesterday, his ear infection is still bothering him despite the antibiotics prescribed to cure it, and he is not able to get much rest even while he is at home away from the office. He is going to see a specialist this afternoon. We wish him good luck and all the best, and we hope he will be up to full strength and work his regular schedule soon.
For much of the rest of the staff, the big news today was that Mark from Digerati, Inc. (an MMI client) showed some of us how to use the video equipment we now have at the office in the back room (several of us think it is like the confessional room they have on The Real World). We had a blast learning the devices. Besides a camera with a recording device, we also have a Teleprompter, which allows you to see the words in your script enlarged on the camera for easy reading. Kate and Allison recorded each other, and they both agreed they do not like the way they come across on video. Allison said she had reading problems caused chiefly by the fluorescent lighting in the room, while Kate said she just felt awkward. We are sure they both will do fine with it eventually despite their misgivings.
As for everything else, it is pretty much business as usual today. Hopefully Patty will enlighten you tomorrow on how things went in her world.
