It has been another busy Friday for Patty with meetings and other events, and she said to let everyone know that she has tried to check her e-mails but has not had time to respond to everyone, so bear with her. She will not have a break in activity tonight as the Women’s Forum Gala is holding its benefit reception at the Progress Energy Center for the Performing Arts from 5:30-7:30 p.m. before the 8 p.m. showing of the humorous play Legends! starring Joan Collins and Linda Evans. Along with Patty, Erika Mangrum of Iatria Day Spa, Sheila Ogle of MRPP and Jennifer Terry of Paragon Commercial Bank are dragging their husbands to attend the event. They are not happy to do so (the husbands, that is), but the forum did not sell enough tickets for the benefit, so they have to attend anyway. John, we feel your pain.
In lighter news, Michelle is excited because her baby niece – or nephew – will be born soon if not already by the time you read this, as her sister-in-law is giving birth at Duke Raleigh Hospital. Congratulations, Michelle!
To wrap things up, let us give you the latest Ryal update: He is going to see Rod Stewart in concert tonight at the RBC Center. Wesley mentioned his concerns about how old Rod is and if it is safe for him to still be dancing at his age. Ryal said he would call Wesley immediately to let him know if there were any injuries Rod sustained from his show tonight. Keep your fingers crossed.
