Today Without Patty – Nov. 17, 2006

Man, what is it lately with the weather whenever Patty goes out of town early for the weekend? The last time she left us we had a huge, windy rainstorm, and the same thing happened yesterday as she headed for Phoenix for her nephew’s wedding. She told us later that the weather was so bad, they halted flights for a while at Raleigh-Durham International Airport, thus forcing her to have to wait in the terminal. Bet she did not like having to do that.

In case you have not read Allison’s blog this week, we held a surprise appreciation day for her Wednesday, which cheered her spirits. She deserved it for all the hard work she does all the time. Read her blog for more information on how we celebrated her special day.

Speaking of other blogs on this site, Michelle wrote one about her and Kate going to Mebane yesterday afternoon for an open house held by the downtown Coldwell Banker Howard Perry and Walston office. The weather cleared up in time for the event, which ran from 4-6 p.m., and the ladies said it went well. We are happy to hear that and see them back in the office today too.

Patty will remain in Phoenix through the weekend, and she is not the only one absent from the office today. Ryal and Nicole are out as well, with Ryal having gone to Washington, D.C. to visit his brother and Nicole to Myrtle Beach, S.C. to be a bridesmaid at a wedding. The rest of us are here, envying them but eagerly doing our jobs for our clients (and looking forward to our own days off next week).
