Today Without Patty 12-4-06

by Kipp

After having dealt with a crazy car driver in New York City Friday who nearly injured her taking her to the airport, then facing a delayed flight home that same day due to the wintry weather, and having to work over the weekend to do monthly billing, what does Patty plan to do today to beat all that? Undergo oral surgery, since naturally the holiday season is the best time of year when someone should operate on your teeth. She is out of the office most of the day for this event. However, she was in earlier to meet with staff to discuss a few issues, and during that time, Patty told us that that she planned on driving to and from her surgery, which made all of us quickly tell her she was crazy. She expected to go in for surgery, become sedated and receive pain medication and then drive back to Cary from North Raleigh. After we were all done laughing, we told Patty that the doctor’s office would not let her leave without someone to drive her home, and she looked as us like we were lying to her. It took a while, but we finally convinced her to have someone drive her home. Of course, whether she actually does let someone do that for her rather than just says she will do it is another matter.

Patty is planning on being back in action first thing tomorrow, which she probably will do, because she tough. Just be gentle with her if some of her early communication with you seems a little fuzzy.
