Today Without Patty: Birthday Fun

Patty is in Phoenix attending a wedding, so the office is left to carry on without her. On the bright side though, it is Jill’s birthday! Multi-colored streamers, balloons, and Happy Birthday signs line the walls and a decadent raspberry cake from Catering Works completes the “sweetness” of this post Valentine’s Day celebration. The birthday girl plans to celebrate her big 2-4 at a cocktail, appetizer, and dessert party thrown by her gal-pal Kristen.

Valentine’s Day Recap

We are all gathered in the center of the office around Valentine’s Day candy brought in by an intern and Ryal has managed to annihilate the Starbursts. In addition to the sweet treats, stories of last night’s romantic escapades and upcoming weekend plans have managed to interrupt the normally high pace, productive Fridays we embrace here at MMI. Matt celebrated Valentine’s Day by gifts and fondue with his fiancée, while Ryal and his fiancée enjoyed a relaxing evening at home sans sushi due to a lack of crucial ingredients at Whole Foods.

Kate is looking forward to her sister coming into town for a stress-free girl’s weekend equip with junk food, bonding and plenty of laughs. Michelle is unwinding from her cruise, and as a self-proclaimed redneck, is anxiously awaiting the return of NASCAR with the Daytona 500 on Sunday. Matt is meeting with a lender from Coldwell Banker Howard Perry & Walston to negotiate a mortgage.

The mood around the office is definitely one of anticipation for the quickly approaching weekend. What are your plans?
