On a mission of mercy – or maybe just boredom with the status quo – Kipp went by Wal-Mart and brought in some donuts and cinnamon biscuits covered with cream cheese for us to eat today (and presumably gain weight). They hit the spot for the guys upstairs, but the mostly female crew downstairs have stayed away from the calorie-loaded offerings and favored sucking on Freeze Pops instead. Their loss.
Teetering Off
Ryal joined Kipp in going to Harris Teeter for lunch today. When they arrived, the weary staff at the deli counter told them they missed the earlier mad rush of people who came to enjoy the day’s special of any sub you want for just $2.49. Ryal got himself a ham, turkey and salami combo, while Kipp went for roast beef and turkey. Also for their subs, as Ryal put it, “We are both addicted to Swiss cheese.”
Prepping Our First Video Podcast
Two days after playing golf there, Matt went with Jill today to Falls Village to shoot footage of the club’s head golf professional, Tim Reeser, for an upcoming podcast here on this Web site. This is our first planned video podcast, and despite having to be shot outdoors in today’s heat, Jill said that “Tim was a pro on camera.” We will let you know when we have that video podcast available for you to download on here.
Our Tuesday Intern
Tuesdays are kind of quiet in terms of interns here at MMI this fall. We have only one working here so far this semester, Samantha, who goes by the distinctive abbreviated version of her name “Samme” (pronounced like Sammy). She is a senior at N.C. State and confesses that she is finding this semester a little difficult, which often can happen when you are nearly finished with your studies but not quite there yet. We are at least doing her a favor here and keeping her downstairs with the women rather than face the rowdy guys upstairs.
That about wraps it up for today. Nothing too eventful, but then most Tuesdays around here are not too eventful anyway. Hopefully we will have more to report to you tomorrow. Until then, see you.

MMI Associates was contracted to handle media relations and to organize various efforts to open the communication lines between the construction entities on the project and motorists. The firm developed a strategic public relations campaign to ensure that local motorists and those passing through would be aware of the most up-to-date traffic patterns.
