Today Without Patty – Part Deux

by MMI

I took Patty and John to the airport yesterday. We thought Patty would forget about us for two weeks, however we got an e-mail from Patty today. She said:

“OK we have made it to London – we are hanging around waiting for our next plane. As you can see I am bored so I am spending $20 bucks to -email you. I miss my cell phone. Haven’t slept. My ankles are swollen. John is sick – he slept the whole way——but I am suffering in silence! We’re half way there. Let’s see – it is 10:00 am in Raleigh – have you cracked the keg yet. Don’t miss you all yet – I am sick of planes and airports. There are some way weird people and I can’t wait to tell you about them. Be good. Patty”

No, we have not cracked the keg (yet).

Yes, we have the cell phone (it has not rung).

We miss Patty, but are holding down the fort.

We may not run around town doing business like Patty, but we sure are busy cranking out news releases, planning events for clients and re-organizing the office. We told Patty that while she was gone we would get all of our desks cleaned and organized.

Allison, our favorite MMI employee (who is taking off the semester to finish up at UNC) stopped by to see us. She is in the middle of exams, then going to visit her family, and is getting a little nervous about life after college. We love Allison and miss her and keep reminding her that we will always be there for her.

I have only been checking Patty’s e-mail for 24 hours and I already know why Patty says she hates e-mail.
