Patty called to say she did not have time do a blog today, so this will have to suffice. She has spent most of the day coming, going and having a meeting at Jacksonville, N.C. and said that it has been raining cats and dogs down there. She hopes maybe some of the precipitation will make up this way (we have had a little around our office today, but nothing that is going to dent the drought, just mainly gray skies all day long).
Ryal and Matt accompanied Patty on her meeting. Ryal handled some of the driving, which Patty said she appreciated, because it gave her time to read the newspaper and catch up on her other work. She did not mention if Matt drove any, though – hmmmm …
Ryal’s Gift
Meanwhile, when Ryal came back here this afternoon, he had a special present waiting for him. His fiancée Nicole sent him a box of Hershey’s Kisses which she said contained a kiss for every day until they are married next year (awwwwwww). Ever the cynic, Wesley suggested that Ryal count them all to see if Nicole really did put in the right amount of one candy per day. It did leave Ryal speechless and made him think about creative ways he could show Nicole his affection for her. When we hear about what he decided to do for her, we will let you know.
Matthews House Opening
Kate is excited about attending the open house this evening for Matthews House, the beautiful mansion in Cary which people reserve to enjoy special occasions such as weddings (give you any ideas, Ryal?). Even though they are a client, Kate said she has never been to the facility, so it will be a first for her. Patty plans to be there as well.
Apart from these events, we have nothing much of note to report today. Patty should be back here tomorrow to continue those truisms she mentioned she learned during and after her recent trip to Galapagos Islands, as well as tell a few other tales about what has happened in her world. Till then, have a good one.
