It has been a rather calm Friday for us here at MMI, which pretty much means business as usual without any big distractions. Actually, we do have one big item that gnaws away on us all – our excitement about what we will be doing this weekend. Here are the more interesting plans we can share with you.
Allison Off To Myrtle
Watch out, Myrtle Beach – Allison and her crew of former college pals are coming down your way to hang out in a cottage. It has been so long since they last were together on a trip that Allison cannot remember when they last enjoyed spending time together. She said they will be doing their regular activities like swimming and sunning, but keep in mind that they have not been out of college that long, so they will remain rowdy enough to do other things as well. Myrtle Beach, consider yourself warned.
Matt’s Football Mania
Matt is inviting some friends over to watch the football game between East Carolina and the University of North Carolina Saturday. Since his allegiance is with Virginia Tech, he will be pulling for ECU since they belong to the same conference, not to mention Matt’s roommate is an ECU alumnus. Matt also will be pulling for Virginia Tech, of course – in fact, he says he plans to watch 100 hours of football this weekend, which appears to be an impossibility based on the fact that there are only 24 hours in every day and only two days in the weekend. Oh well.
Somehow amid all the football watching, Matt is going to take some time to play golf at Falls Village with two buddies Sunday. He said he cannot wait to do that, since he heard it is “awesome,” as he put it. It is busy too – Matt said the earliest tee time they could get was around noon.
Jill Will Be A Good Person
Not all of us are expecting unending fun this weekend. Jill, for example, will have some serious cleaning up to do at her place because her roommate has been out of town and Jill has let a few things slide in her absence. We know she will have the place in tiptop shape before her roommate returns. Jill also will be dog sitting her brother’s pooch because his fiancée won them a cruise, but as part of the deal they have to watch a video illustrating what the company offers them, and that could take a couple of hours, so to be safe, she will be on canine duty.
As For the Rest of Us …
Everybody else claims to be doing less than Jill this weekend, or just said so to avoid telling what they are really doing. In any event, we plan to be come back to the office on the second and final week without Patty as she continues her vacation in the Galapagos Islands. We hope whatever you end up doing will be fun and/or safe as well, and we will see you back here on Monday.
