While Patty continues to enjoy all that one can visit in the Galapagos Islands – or at least we assume that, since we have not heard anything from here, and we go along with the philosophy that no news is good news – we have returned to our usual routines after coming back to work yesterday following the Labor Day holiday. But while our routines might be usual, some other events today have not been, such as …
Intern Invasion
It is our first Wednesday with three of our college interns for this semester at work, and it has been pretty busy today, especially this morning, when we had three in at once. Gwynne Murphy, Heather Forster and Samantha Menke all work at least from 9 a.m.-noon here now Mondays and Wednesdays. He had some fascinating facts to share, and we will try to get the podcast edited and available for download on this Web site as soon as possible. Basically, our rise in population looks to be continuing from all indications, and while there are challenges addressing this impressive amount of growth, the resources are there for us to handle it, according to him.
That will do it for us today. Gloria is coming back from her trip from Texas tonight, so we hope to have some details on that for you in tomorrow’s entry. Until then, take care.
