RALEIGH, N.C. – Doug Cowles, executive vice president and COO of Horticultural Asset Management, Inc. (HMI), has announced that Valley Crest Tree Company, a major supplier of trees in the western United States, has joined HMI’s Premier Level Member (PLM) network of field-based landscape assessors. As a member of the PLM network, Valley Crest Tree Company’s arborist representatives will conduct landscape assessments on residential and commercial properties to determine the types, sizes and general health of trees and shrubs. Information will be entered into HMI’s system to establish the replacement cost valuation of each plant.
“The Premier Level Member network is a critical component of our comprehensive plan to support insurance, casualty loss, and valuation services for all residential and commercial property owners,” said Cowles. “We are excited that Valley Crest Tree Company has chosen to join our PLM network; their expertise is widely known and respected.”
“One of Valley Crest Tree Company’s goals is to ensure customers’ investments in landscaping appreciate over time through selection of high quality trees, proper installation, and professional long-term care,” said Robert L. Crudup, Jr., president of Valley Crest Tree Company. “HMI’s replacement valuation system now provides a means for our customers to acquire landscape insurance and protect those valuable investments. We are very pleased to be a part of the PLM network and support this new product.”
