Wendy Coulter Named To The Carying Place Board

RALEIGH, N.C. – Wendy Coulter, president of Hummingbird Creative Group, a Raleigh-based creative services firm, has been named to the Carying Place Board. The Carying Place is a Cary-based nonprofit agency serving homeless families. As a member of the board, Coulter will help to carry out the Board’s mission to assist in teaching homeless families with children necessary life skills for attaining independent living while providing them with short-term housing support services.

“I am honored to serve on this Board,” said Coulter. “The Carying Place helps so many families in Wake County, and I am proud to be a part of this organization.”

About the Carying Place:
The Carying Place, based in Cary, N.C., teaches homeless families with children necessary life skills for attaining independent living while providing them with short-term housing support services. They provide a Transitional Housing Program (THP) that gives families an opportunity to stabilize their financial situation, leading to permanent self-sustaining housing. Each family accepted into the program is paired with a volunteer team, which works with the family to develop a personalized plan for self-sufficiency. Through financial assistance and broad-based counseling in life skills, The Carying Place seeks to help people work toward self-reliance and growth.
