Where has November gone? I am so behind on my blogging – Okay Patty, don’t spank me! I’ll catch up on my blog! Quick November recap: I played in my first golf tournament this month with 1st American. What a joke! I have NO golf skills, but good weather, good friends and cute golf couture go a long way!
I met Carolina Hurricanes Cam Ward and Eric Staal this month at a lunch at the RBC center! Sweet! Eat your heart out, Amanda! I touched Cam Ward!
I had the opportunity to do creative direction for four relocation videos …please stand by, they’ll be posted in December and then today, helped Kim Agnolutto direct a commercial for Heritage Wake Forest ! Wow! Another tag line for the resumé!
Patty took me to a Women Against Multiple Sclerosis luncheon at North Ridge Country Club and the speaker was NPR Senior National Correspondent Linda Werthiemer) ! Very cool! This woman was political opinion personified! There were no holds barred when she unleashed her thoughts on George Bush, the war, and stem cell research!
Only one more day in November! Then the holiday parties start next week. Corporate ones, ones at the kids’ schools, cocktail parties, cookie exchanges, oh my! We keep a family calendar on the fridge and it is chugged full of events. It will certainly be 2007 in a blink. Tonight my son asked me if we could go to the movies this weekend to see Flushed Away.
“Sorry, babe” I said, “we’re too busy.”
“Mom!” Ethan whined, “We’re always too busy. We never do anything!”
It does seem that way. In our day to day of multi-task, do more, be more we’ve got basketball games, homework, meetings, dentist appointments, parties to attend. In the wise words of an old Beatle, John Lennon, “Life is what happens while we’re busy making plans.”
