Women Presidents’ Organization (WPO) Announces 2006 Conference Keynote Speaker

NEW YORK – Marsha Firestone, president of the Women Presidents’ Organization has announced that Michelle Caruso-Cabrera, co-anchor of CNBC’s “Worldwide Exchange,” will be a keynote speaker at the WPO 2006 Annual Conference, to be held on April 27-29 at the Ritz-Carlton in Chicago. Caruso-Cabrera will focus on financial trends in day-to-day business and how they affect businesses globally and domestically. The conference encourages WPO members to share business strategies and experience with other successful women from all over North America, as well as learn from interactive seminars and speakers.

Caruso-Cabrera was named CNBC’s first Hispanic anchor in 2001 and anchored CNBC’s “Wake Up Call” prior to “Worldwide Exchange.” In 2005, she reported for NBC News from Baghdad, covering their elections and its impact on Iraq’s post-war economy. Caruso-Cabrera has also been awarded Broadcaster of the Year award from the National Association of Hispanic Journalists and was named one of the “100 Most Influential Hispanics” in the country by Hispanic Business Magazine.
