NEW YORK – New Women Presidents’ Organization member Judi Sheppard Missett, WPO San Diego Chapter member and CEO of Jazzercise, Inc., will be inducted into the 2006 Enterprising Women Hall of Fame. The Enterprising Women Hall of Fame is dedicated to the country’s finest women entrepreneurs and their remarkable success. The elite inductees are also recognized as leaders who have had a profound impact on their community as well as the nation.
Sheppard Missett is the founder of Jazzercise, Inc., the world’s leading dance-fitness program. The 36-year-old company has established 6,300 franchises with 20,000 classes weekly in the U.S. and around the globe. Her success has included many awards and honors including Club Industry Fitness Business Pro Magazine’s “Lifetime Achievement Award,” induction into the National Association of Sport and Physical Education Hall of Fame, IDEA “Lifetime Achievement Award,” and “Entrepreneur of the Year Award” from the National Foundation for Women Legislators.
